Strategy · Roadmap · Build · Proof

From AI strategy to shipped software.

Velocity Labs helps mid-market companies find where AI actually pays — then builds it. Working systems in production, integrated with the tools you already run — success defined and baselined before we start.

Day one success defined, baseline set
Two weeks to working software
Thirty days to production

Most AI consulting ends with a slide deck. Ours ends with software running in your business — and a before-and-after you can put in front of your board.

What we do

Strategy is step one. It isn’t the deliverable.

01

Find the money

Not “AI opportunities” in the abstract — the two or three places in your operation where hours pile up, decisions wait, or revenue leaks, and what each is costing you today.

02

Make it a plan

A sequenced roadmap you could hand to anyone: what gets built first, who owns it, what it depends on — and the metric each step is accountable to.

03

Build it

Working software, integrated with the systems you already run. Senior hands, short cycles: a build you can click in two weeks, live in production inside thirty days — not a discovery phase that outlives the fiscal year.

04

Prove it

Before and after, against the baseline we set on day one. What works earns expansion; what doesn’t gets shut down without ceremony. Either way, you know.

Success is defined and the baseline measured on day one. If we can’t say what better looks like, we don’t start. No baseline, no build.

Sound familiar?

Where this usually starts.

A few patterns we keep finding inside well-run companies.

The quote bottleneck

Every quote waits on your best estimator’s calendar, and deals cool while the spreadsheet gets filled in. Same-day quotes at your senior person’s quality is a solvable problem.

Payroll spent on typing

Skilled people copying data between the CRM, the ERP, and the spreadsheet that actually runs the company. None of them was hired to type.

The 9pm lead

Whoever answers first usually wins the work. Inquiries that arrive after hours sit until morning — and some of them buy elsewhere before you’ve had coffee.

Reporting from memory

The numbers arrive weeks after the month they describe, so decisions get made on instinct. The data exists. It’s just not where the decision is.

Three irreplaceable people

Decades of how-we-do-it living in a few heads. The goal isn’t replacing them — it’s getting their judgment onto every job and every shift, including the ones they’re not on.

The same forty questions

Most inbound questions are the same ones, asked one at a time, answered by people with better things to do. The answers could meet the question on arrival.

None of these exactly yours? The list isn’t the point — the pattern is: hours going to work that software should be doing. If you can name the hours, we can usually name the system.

Plainfield Lead Gen.

The brief we set ourselves was ambitious: give small service businesses the lead-generation capability of a four- to six-person team, at a fraction of the cost. The go-to-market — offer, systems, scheduling, automation — went from idea to live in under a month, built with the same playbook on this page. It runs in production today.

Full disclosure: it’s our own venture. Velocity Labs’ first client was Velocity Labs — we bet our own money on this approach before asking anyone else to. Ask us anything about how it works; showing our homework is part of the pitch.

The Plainfield Lead Gen homepage, live

I knew the vision — give small businesses the lead-generation muscle of a four- to six-person team, at a fraction of the cost. What I didn’t have was six months to figure out the how. The playbook cut through that uncertainty, and what launched a month later was precisely what I’d envisioned.

Why we’re fast

Senior judgment, AI leverage.

Velocity Labs is AI-native: every engagement is senior operating experience working directly with frontier AI systems — the same way we’ll teach your team to work. No junior-consultant layer, no billable pyramid, no translation loss between the person who understood your problem and the person building the solution.

It’s how a first build lands in two weeks and is live in production inside thirty days — and the clearest evidence that we practice what we recommend.

Velocity Labs is led by its founder — MBA, twenty-five years operating in service industries, former CTO and VP of Machine Intelligence — who solves exactly these AI challenges inside real organizations every working week. More about us →
